Choi Wook graduated from Hongik School of Architecture then studied architecture design and theories at the Venice Institute of Architecture (Dottore in Arch.), Italy. He was awarded fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, U.S.A and Valparaiso Foundation in Spain. Currently, he is the President of ONE O ONE architects, and visiting professor at Korea National University of Arts.
The architect has been invited to the 2006 Venice Biennale, 2007 Shenzhen-HongKong Biennale, 2013 ‘Point-Contrepoint: Trajectories of Ten Korean Architects’ in Paris and held a solo exhibition ‘groundscape’ at Hyundai Card Design Library in 2013. He won the 2013 DFAA (Design For Asia Awards) for Hyundai Card Design Library, and the Kim Jong Soung award in 2014.
Choi’s major works include the Hakgojae Gallery, Dugahun, CJ management strategy laboratory, CJ CEO Lounge(CJ Human Ville, Sangam-dong), Hyundai Card Offices (HQ3, Yeongdeungpo, Busan), Gapado Island Project, Hanyangdoseong Exhibition & Visitor Center in Hyehwa-dong (The former official residence of the mayor of Seoul).
